Bridging the gap
Since the year 2000 I've been working in the digital creative industry as SIXFOOTSEVEN. As a Creative Technologist I speak both the creative and technical language(s), this enables me to help organisations to bridge the gap between the two. I have experience in various roles, ranging from Frontend Developer to Creating concepts, from Technical Director to Head of Labs. I live for technology and love to collaborate. Clear communication. Experience in lead technical positions and working for international brands and creative digital agencies.

- Concepting: I ideate within a concepting team, advice on technical implications, inspire with examples and tech trends.
- Prototyping: As an idea evolves I build prototypes to prove the idea works and can be realised.
- Frontend Development: I create beautiful websites and applications and make sure the projects is technically executed up to the highest technical and creative standards, in time. Also in a lead role. I have broad experience with JavaScript, Frameworks like React (Native), CSS, Sass, Less, Node, Testing, Git and much, much more.
- Workshops: I conduct workshops to let people connect to technology in a playful manner, like an Arduino workshop for example, to get a feeling for (and hands-on experience with) Internet of Things.
Creative Technologist? Say what?!
If you're still a bit in the dark as to what a Creative Technologist does on a daily basis, here's my vision of the role:
- I give input to creative decisions and pitches.
- I take ownership of the technical decisions for all projects I am involved in.
- I work closely togehter with developers, designers, creatives and producers in the team.
- I come up with creative solutions for technical problems as well as technical solutions for creative problems.
- I make sure that every project I supervise is stable, error-free and meets client expectations.
- I’m interested in emerging technologies and trends, in experimentation.
- I have an expert knowledge of front-end and back-end coding technologies.
- I support the design process by building prototypes.
